Wash & Care
Prep: Grab a gentle detergent, a mesh garment bag (optional), and for a thorough clean, use a soft brush like an old toothbrush.
Step 1
Remove the insoles from your Tabis.
Step 2
Use the soft brush and some soapy water to wipe down your insoles and squeeze out as much water as possible from the insole. Pro deodorizing tip: sprinkle insoles with baking soda and let it sit overnight before removing the baking soda.
Step 3
Air dry your shoes. You can hang them up, or just place them in a sunny spot! Place the insoles right back in for a clean pair of Tabis.
Step 4
Place the shoes into the washer with some old towels to balance the load (old towels work best to make sure dye doesn't bleed onto your shoes).
Step 5
Set the washer to delicate, cold water cycle, and select a slow or no-spin motion. Start the wash using liquid detergent (if you use a powder detergent, first dissolve completely in warm water).
Step 6
Air dry your shoes. You can hang them up, or just place them in a sunny spot! Place the insoles right back in for a clean pair of Tabis.
